Digital LDR Sensor Module
Digital LDR Sensor Module
This compact module uses an LM393 comparator to detect ambient brightness and light intensity. It features an adjustable sensitivity via a digital potentiometer, providing a digital output signal from 0V to 5V. With LED indicators for output and power, it operates within a 3.3V to 5V DC range and consumes just 15mA. Ideal for light detection and measurement in various applications.

Product Description
- Digital LDR Module – 3 Pin is used to detect the presence of light / measuring the intensity of light. The output of the module goes high in the presence of light and it becomes low in the absence of light. The sensitivity of signal detection can be adjusted using the potentiometer.
- Use it to detect the light brightness in your environment and decide to switch OFF or ON light? Or maybe to adjust the brightness of the LED of your house?
- You can adjust the threshold (sensitivity) of the digital output by tuning the onboard variable resistor (potentiometer). Simple usage as it is the digital output, so you will know is the light present and decide what to do with it.
- It comes with an M3 mounting hole for ease of attaching it to an object. Onboard, it provides an LDR, high sensitivity and commonly being used for light detection. The module comes with a power LED and a status LED as an indicator.
- Digital LDR Module Photosensitive resistor module most sensitive to environmental light intensity is generally used to detect the ambient brightness and light intensity.
- LDR Module module compatible with arduino projects.

PIN DETAILS
VCC ↔ 3.3V to 5V DC.
GND ↔ Ground.
DO ↔ Digital Output.
- Module light conditions or light intensity reach the set threshold, DO port output high when the external ambient light intensity exceeds a set threshold, the module D0 output low;
- Digital output D0 is directly connected to the MCU, and detect high or low TTL, thereby detecting ambient light intensity changes;
- Digital output module DO can directly drive the relay module, which can be composed of a photoelectric switch.
This module detects ambient light levels and outputs a digital signal based on the detected brightness, making it suitable for automatic lighting, safety, and other light-sensing applications.
The sensitivity can be adjusted using the blue digital potentiometer on the module. Turning it clockwise or counterclockwise will increase or decrease the sensitivity, respectively.
The module provides a digital output of 0V to 5V, depending on the light intensity detected and the preset trigger level.
Yes, the module is compatible with both 3.3V and 5V systems, making it suitable for use with a wide range of microcontrollers.
The LED indicators show the power status and the output state of the module. The power LED lights up when the module is powered, and the output LED lights up when the module detects light above the set threshold.
Connect the VCC pin to a 3.3V or 5V power supply, the GND pin to the ground, and the OUT pin to a digital input pin on your microcontroller to read the sensor's output.
The module has a low current consumption of approximately 15mA.
The module can be used outdoors if properly enclosed and protected from moisture and extreme temperatures. It is not weatherproof by default.
